One of the most serious environmental problems is a lack of access to clean water and sanitation. Globally, 1.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water and 2.6 billion lack access to adequate sanitation. In adequate water supply, sanitation, and hygiene leads to disease and diseases transmitted through water or human excrement are the second-leading cause of death among children worldwide. In Africa, water scarcity afflicts 300 million people and claims at least 6,000 live each year. The UN estimates that by 2025, 1 out of 2 Africans will live in countries facing water stress and water scarcity. Cedza has begun to address the issue of access to clean water and other environmental issues. View any of the speeches, presentations and articles below to learn more.
