World Youth Peace Summit
The World Youth Peace Summit (WYPS) was an outcome of the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders held at the United Nations in August 2000. Inspired by H. E. Kofi Annan and Dr. Ted Turner, the Millennium Summit's goal was to incorporate the religious leaders of the world into the peaceful solution-making process for global issues.

The World Youth Peace Summit aims to assemble youth leaders from across the globe, in a manner never before facilitated, in order to first, find ways to work for peace across national borders, cultures, faiths, religions, and sectors; second, provide a forum for them to begin the process of creating new definitions of global leadership and citizenship; and third, build a strong global network of young leaders from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Caribbean to support each other as they seek to prevent future world conflicts.

The aims of the World Youth Peace Summit perfectly matched Cedza’s vision and so he willingly committed himself to the organization as a means of achieving his vision. In October of 2003, Cedza hosted the first planning session for The Summit at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Subsequently, he was appointed the Africa Co-Chair for the WYPS, where he attended and participated in other regional summits in Bosnia and Japan, assisted in penning the European Youth_Declaration, selects candidates and strategic partners, and will host a summit of his own in Africa.
